High of 105 degrees today and windy with sand and dust kicking up later on decreasing visibility so today is a rest day. 🚴🏼‍♂️

I asked a truck driver hauling huge steel parts for a ship “At what point heading west will the landscape stop being so barren and start being a little more green?”

“Once you get past San Diego, you’ll be fine,” he chuckled. “It’s pretty much the feel of a desert between here and San Diego my friend. So it’s best to just get used to it.”

Tomorrow may be ok – but Tuesday is looking terrible. 20 – 30 mph winds make dust storms a real possibility.
